The Story.
Sapphire is the birthstone for September and also happens to be available in all colors of the rainbow. Fascinating fact, when it is mined from the earth, most sapphires are almost colorless or mucky brown. Almost always, the sapphires are then heated, not treated, to gain it's color, but it's uncertain what that will become. When this client came by, his son was on the way! He had multiple house projects going on at the same time and so we offered to source a few for him, per our conversation that we would recommend for a pendant. Ceylon sapphire, like this, is most noted for it's rich, deep blue color and brilliance. When well cut, these blue hues disperse throughout the stone and really become mesmerizing. He chose to have us hand fabricate a simple custom slide bezel and place it on a diamond cut wheat chain. Well done.
