SWING!

Typically we don't toot our own horn, but we have made some pretty cool stuff over the years that has photographed really well, or just captured the process of making in a profound way, or both.

This is one of them! The following is an example of jewelry that we made which simply repurposed precious metal and jewels that weren't being worn and were transformed into a meaningful, wearable piece of art.

The Story.

This is a really great, super simple, example of melting gold jewelry into a 'blob' and forging it into a pancake shape.  We set a champagne diamond into it, hung it from a platinum bail and it was transformed into a beautiful piece of art jewelry that has a cute story you can share!

The  Project.

As soon as our doors reopen to the public, we would like to invite people to participate in the process of making their own jewelry.  That's right!

What we will be doing is offering a signup for  those  interested  in making their own jewelry ...out of their jewelry.  We are thinking outside the box here, but as a former jewelry instructor, I have the skill set, and as a small business owner with a working studio, I make the rules. If you have old gold, silver or other precious metals and want to take a swing at it... we have a large, heavy hammer that is old and rusty we will lend you ...the rest is up to us.
